Venngage Poster - The Hunger Games

Here's how i've done my Venngage Poster for The Hunger Games, I hope this has some good explanations of this short clip we watched and With Peeta and Katniss, As Primrose got chosen her older sibling Katniss desided to volunteer as one of the tributes to save her little sister. These are the key points of the clip with a little explaining at each of these numbers on my Venngage

I Found interesting that Katniss had chosen to volunteer as tribute because as I was watching the clip seems like no one would of done that as Katniss did for her little sister.

I am learning to understand the parts of the clip that we are writing about, in detail and figure out what the most importants parts are

this work shows my learning by presenting a presentation of what im learning about in class with alot of things included in it

I am wondering what could happen in the next movie and how i could write a good SEXXY paragraph about what ive been doing and make it full of detail and very interesting for this Hunger Games we been working on

What I learnt - I learnt about some of the land marks and learnt new things about why hagley park is or was so import and also why the botanic gardens was so important. Hagley park was so important because it used to be used for horse racing 

I found out that hagley park being important was very interesting as ive never known why it was important, and also i was wondering why the park was so big 

Workshop 3 : Costumes

The Reaping Scene - district 12

• The children of the district have gathered together for the reaping to select the tributes.
• Boys - Shirts-  buttoned/collars, shorts, pants, whites, colourless, faded, dull, over washed.
• Girls - Dresses, Shirt + skirt, 
• Best clothes, probably only worn once a year, worn out, colourless, faded.

Viewer -  We feel sorry for the people, they seem powerless, they live in poor condition.

Directors Purpose - Show us how bad their conditions are , wants us to see them as weak, unprepared, hopeless.

Other Techniques - High angle with faded colours makes them seem weak,vulnerable, helpless.

2. The Capitol - arriving in the city. 

Katniss + Peeta have arrive by train in the Capitol.

The clothes are extravagant! There over the top

• colourful, vibrant
• accessories - hats, earrings, makeup, wigs, shoes, dogs, bags
• New - Like only worn once, fashionable - Access to good quality fabrics, patterns

Viewer Effect - Makers them seem higher rank, privileged, relaxed, we dont like them - Attitude of entitlement, clueless

Directors Purpose - Shows  themes of imbalance, of power + rich vs poor

Other techniques - Setting is crowded, people are happy, buildings are modern, big, well kept, shows that the Capitol is privileged. 

3. The Countdown - 

The tributes have just arrived in the Arena and are waiting to start games

Costumes - Survival gear, browns, black, dark colours, jackets, pants, t-shirts, 

Designed to look good, to be practical, light weight. 

Viewer effect - The tributes look prepared, fit, athletic

Directors Purpose - They are going to die,  the outfits are just for the audience,

(The Capitols) makes it seem more pagent like, 

Other technique - Silence, worried, excited to see what happens, anxious, builds tension, makes the audience focus.

Land Yachts

In Science this week, we created land yachts then we finally raced them. Our goal was to make our Land Yacht as fast as possible. we created them with: Plastic bag plastic mini wheels bamboo sticks, We were in groups of 3-4-5, but I wasn't here for that at the time. The speed of one other group is... They went 4.5m in 7.3 seconds.

4.5m divided by 7.3s = 0.616m/s

Conclusion: In the end the force of the leaf blower made this group go far and it went well only because of the wind from the leaf blower.

here is some picture of what I was making for business and enterprise. We ended up finishing our products its called Oobleck. and its too different types of green there is a slide dark green and light green.

Habitat: in the country

Diet: He eats grass antelopes and dare’s and snake and a zebra,,,

Meat,dry grass,green grass, and dry wet grass,snow,bark from a tree,drink water,eat wild dog’s like from araner-park.,stones Carnivore. Insects.Predators and Threats

Brown trout, and humans.

Head:    

The head is a cheetah and on the cheetah there is some spot’s and colour the colour is skin colour. The cheetah run very fast and sometimes slow because it walks and when it’s not walking.

Leg’s: Sable- Antelope leg’s

Body: cheetah head and candy darter legs and fish swimming tail.And there are two baby cheetah.

Important things: also known as the finescale saddled darter,males during spawning season. Their habitat is small, cool and warm streams with the adults usually in the fastest flowing water.
