Creative Writing - Inside A Bag

To start my day off by waking up, I opened my eyes wide and all I saw was completely

nothing because it was pitch black of darkness. I also started hearing these noises around

the city and had random thoughts in my mind. When I was breathing all I could breathe

in was hot stuffy air as if I was trapped in a small space, But I found out I was in this bag

the size of me moving across this bag transferrer. I began to worry as I had never woken

up like this before, I began to think of how to get out as the zipper was on the outside of

the bag, I couldn't do anything about it. After I felt as if I was struggling to breathe I yelled

and screeched for help but nobody heard me. Then I feel something is scanning me and I

then realized I was going to go on a trip somewhere but had no clue where I was going,

I thought of ideas for how to escape the bag I was in, I tried ripping mini holes the size of

my finger but it was the hardest to do, Yet I still tried to do it. I then after figuring out that

wasn’t working I tried to push the zip from the inside of the bag to the other end but it

wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. I was breathing deeply as the thought of worry

that I couldn’t get out, I also never knew what could have happened to me if I never knew

how to get out. I tried yelping like a dog, not 1 person heard me whatsoever. I just to try

to make my mind not blank as the morning I woke up I couldn’t remember anything at all

as like I was knocked out cold,  I rubbed my head and twinkled my toes, as a spark thought

came to mind, but sadly wasn’t a memory of what happened to me this morning. I sighed to

myself and finally, someone randomly heard my sighing and I got happy and was like could

I please have some help and they said sorry sir I cannot help you and you are part of this bag

and are being traveled around the world. I got told to slow down with my speeds because I

spoke fast with horrible thoughts for where I'm going. I begged and begged them but they

still wouldn’t give me help to get out. I counted down - 3.2.1 and tried bursting my way out

of the bag from lying down, it almost worked but I got a really bad pain in my body. Then

wondered what I can do…    In the time of 1 hr, I felt spooked out because I felt feelings of

wind passing through me as if it was a ghost. I was just hearing noises of ghosts, but I thought

my mind was playing with me as if I was in dreamy land.

My Remote Controlled life

Today I was on my way to school. I found this really heavy remote that was the size of a car I was wondering what it would do if I pressed the push button. It paused half the people on the street, at the time when that happened I had no idea what happened, because half the people were moving but the rest of them weren't. I was confused out of my mind! But then my brain started to click and I knew what was happening so I pressed the pause button again to unpause the people that froze in one spot. The remote weighed like 100 kgs, only adults could lift it because all the kids were weak. After awhile the remote disappeared and everyone went back to normal.

Critical literacy

Is this text fair?
- I think its not fair if all men dont drink that are Maori and PI, because most of the time it can get out of hand
and take it out on the wrong people.

- But I also think its fair if some drink because some or most problems can get sorted out in many different ways. Also men with that ethnicity can help their mates to stop from drink driving to stop problems that could occur over the time once they get into the drivers seat.

How are children, teenagers or young adults constructed in this text?
- By Their parents not having a good influence on their children, and showing whats not good. But it also shows a point to kids and teenagers that drinking and driving is not a good combo so they decide not to drink. Also maybe cause it can teach bad situations that can occur when drinking.

How does the text present age, gender or cultural groups?
It present the ages in adult years and a couple children and also a few teenage years.

Why is the text written this way?
its written this way as a good situation happened by this boy saying that they shouldn't drink and drive as he didn't have good thoughts in his head for if he was to drive himself.

Conclusion
to sum this all up i think that the young man has chosen a good idea to stop his mate from drink driving

Similes English - Work

 Simile -

What are similes?

A simile is a direct comparison between two ideas using words LIKE or AS for example “She danced as delicately as a butterfly.” and “The baby was like a pig when it ate. “ are similes because when they compare ideas they use the words like and as which stops them from being a metaphor which is comparing two ideas without using like or as.

What is an example of adverts that use similes -

One company that uses similes in their advertising is “Chevrolet” which has the slogan as “Like a rock”

Describe how the simile is used in the ad?

The brand Chevrolet uses the simile “like a rock” to Promote their car as trustworthy, reliable, strong, etc using only a 3-word sentence which is short and snappy and very memorable.

Why do advertisers use similes in advertising?

Advertisers use similes in ads to promote their product as something positive without having to write out the words, instead simply referring it to another object for example chevrolet doesn’t use the words reliable and strong in their slogan but are implying that it is by using the simile “like a rock”
