Continuous Cricket

Continuous Cricket Rules
Written by: Abbagale

Object

By hitting the ball your team has to get more runs than the other team.

Players

The class is divided into two even teams.

Equipment

We use the following Kiwi Cricket equipment:
  • 2 x bats
  • 2 x balls
  • 1 x full wicket set (a stand and 3 x wickets)
  • 2 x spare wickets
  • 1 x wicket stand

Scoring

To get a score you need to get more runs and there is a person writing down the scores, and when you try get runs for points you have to run to the spare wickets and put tap the bat on the other side and run back and that’;s one point and you can get upto 6 runs.

Winning

To win you have to get the most runs and try not to get out as many times.

Rules

Here are the rules for continuous cricket
  • There are 2 teams half class
  • When your hitting the ball with a bat you have to stand 1 metre away from the wickets or a bit less so you don’t hit the wickets and don’t get yourself out by hitting them.
  • The person who bowls has to throw under arm and try to hit the wickets to get the person out who is trying to hit the ball.
  • When you hit the ball you have to run one side out to the wickets and tap the otherside of the wicket and go back with the bat and you get 1 point for that.
  • You must throw the ball under arm if your the bowler
  • When the wickets get hit 3 times by the bowler your whole team is out and the other team wins the game and then you just
  • This is how you win the game is the person who gets the most runs and you can get upto 6 runs per person
  • You have to run one way you cant run both ways to get a point
  • You must run even if you miss/don’t hit the ball and you have to run to the wicket and back as fast as you can so the before the boller throws the ball
  • You also have to have a wicket keeper
  • The bating person has to be at least 2.4 meters away from the bowler so they can have a go at trying to hit the ball and not get hit in the face or something.
  • When the bating person hits the ball you have to throw and get the ball as fast as possible, and throw it to the bowler ready to try and hit the wickets or for the batter to whack the ball as far as they can.
  • Have fun
  • Follow the instructions
  • Try get the most points
  • Listen to the person whos coaching or playing with you
  • The winning team is the one who has scored the most points at the end of the game
  • There is a change of innings when either
  1. All of the batsmen have completed there over ,or
  2. There are three outs in that innings
  • When the person whos batting hit the ball when you catch it on the fall or one handed/one bounce there out then you change the batsmen and change the bowler
  • The umpire records the number of runs scored and the number’s of outs for each team.. The umpires decision is final
