Baking At School

In cooking i made cupcakes and I did a blog Post that day .. Here is a few things I'm doing for this blog post...

Techniques I used:
1. Added Different Ingredients. Of how to make them.
2.  We used Caster Sugar/ Normal Sugar and butter, flour, also Baking Powder, Also eggs and some others I cannot think of...

Vanilla Cupcakes
How I Made It:
First you get out a Few Bowls and and some Minnie bowls for like sugar and eggs and baking powder ummm... .

What you need:
Caster sugar
Baking Powder
Flour
2 eggs
Milk. 1/4 cup
1 Cup Sugar

How Many People can be in each group:
2,3 or 4 can be in each groups

TECHNIQUES FOR ICING AND DECORATING:
We used butter and had it cold in the fridge for a while and then we mixed it until it was white ish and all creamed and we added a flavour we wanted for our icing. After a while we started adding food colours and the flavours were completely different to what the colours of the icing was and it was a mystery and you had to guess what flavour it was to the colour of icing we had chosen and mine was salted caramel and it was pink...

Measuring Icing:
- You would Put about 2-3 Teaspoons of icing sugar on the top of each cupcake...
- You have to be careful how much m-m's you put on because if you put to many they will keep fulling off and you can make faces on them and decorate them how ever you wsnt you can also put hundred and thousands which is a type of sprinkles...

  1. Hi Abbagale
Wow, the quality of your blog post has really gone up here. I'm really impressed.
Pink is an interesting colour for salted caramel flavour. I think it would be really surprising to bite into your cup cakes and get that flavour.
Have you noticed that salted caramel is becoming a really popular flavour now? There are a lot of chocolates, cakes, ice cream and other foods that are salted caramel flavoured now.
Thanks for sharing this detail as a follow up to your post on 20 March.

  2. Hi Abbagale. This is a fairly accurate record of how you made the cupcakes. I would have liked to see the recipe - photo of it or written out - and your original photos of the method steps. Also the use of the correct terms - creaming butter and sugar. I liked your mention of the mini bowls for different ingredients - mise en place!. How about a photo of this next time? Also from the next page of your blog I agree with Mr Mitchell that the photo is blurred. Lid off next time? Keep up the good work Abbagale.
